South Creek Falls

South Creek is a major tributary to the Kern River, North Fork. A few miles before it empties into the Kern, it falls over a massive precipice and drops into a canyon below, where it continues its journey to the Kern.

In January 2017, snow melt from the higher elevations and subsequent storms at lower elevations caused tremendous increase in water flow in the rivers and creeks.
