Commemorates the planting of a Mission Olive Tree
by Juan Bandini on this site in 1838.

This area was known then as Rancho de Jurupa,
comprising seven square leagues (approximately 31,000 acres).

In 1844 a portion was purchased by Louis Robidoux (Rubidoux)
who named it the Robidoux Ranch.
