Fall in Fairmount Park

When you drive around Fairmount Park, you see the nice landscaping the city park department has planted, especially in the parking lot areas. They are not native or wild, however. But if you walk around the undisturbed areas, you see beautiful wildflowers, both annuals and perennials, that change almost monthly. The same with the wildlife on the lakes. Birds migrate in during the winter, then leave. Some remain year round. The entire area is a wonderful natural habitat for both wildflowers and wildlife.
