Welcome
to the Dr. Edmund C. Jaeger Page.
This site is established in gratitude for all that Dr. Jaeger contributed to the understanding and appreciation of the California deserts. His memory lives on in his many books and articles, and also in the semi-annual visits that his friends and interested people make to the many desert sites that he frequented. These "Palavers," as he called them, are intended to give people a first-hand experience of our wonderful desert heritage - an experience not gained just by reading about the desert. In addition to the various articles now on this site, the intention is that this will be an extensive repository for finding information about Dr. Jaeger - both in the print media and on the World Wide Web. You are welcome to send comments and suggestions for material to be included on these pages. Photographs were taken by me unless otherwise indicated. Thanks to those who have given me access to their photographs and other materials.
